Truck owners may also add a separate transmission calibration optimized for towing. Using your RTD device and a compatible smartphone, you can conveniently switch between available tunes whenever needed.

Remote tuning needs a compatible HP Tuners interface. The Underground RTD is the simplest choice for most drivers.

Remote tuning requires a compatible HP Tuners interface: MPVI2+, MPVI3, MPVI4, RTD+, or RTD.

If you do not already own a compatible device, the Underground Autosports RTD is the simplest and most cost-effective choice for most customers. It allows you to receive tunes, data log, and scan your vehicle using a Bluetooth connection and compatible smartphone.

The MPVI4 may be the better choice if you:

Own or operate an automotive shop
Plan to perform some of your own tuning in the future
Expect to tune or diagnose multiple vehicles
Have a laptop that can be dedicated to tuning

Underground Autosports RTD Recommended Receive tunes, data log and scan over Bluetooth with your phone. Best for most customers. MPVI4 For shop owners, future self-tuning, or diagnosing multiple vehicles with a dedicated laptop. I already own a compatible device MPVI2+, MPVI3, MPVI4, RTD+ or RTD. You supply your own HP Tuners credits. Included

Your vehicle needs extra access before it can be tuned. Deselect anything you already have in place.

What this means

Required ECU Access

Certain makes and models require additional access before tuning can begin. If one or both of the options below appear for your vehicle, they are required unless the necessary work or equipment is already in place.

ECU Unlock
Your Engine Control Unit must be removed and shipped to Underground Autosports for unlocking before it can be tuned. If your ECU has already been unlocked, you may deselect this option.

Smart Access Cable
Certain HEMI-based vehicles require a Smart Access Cable to permit tuning access. If a compatible device is already installed in your vehicle, you may deselect this option.

ECU unlock Your ECU is removed and shipped to us for unlocking before it can be tuned. Smart Access Cable Permits tuning access on certain HEMI-based vehicles. Not needed if one is already fitted.

What this means

Wideband Sensor Requirements

Most GM and non-Hellcat HEMI vehicles require a wideband oxygen sensor package and an HP Tuners Pro Link for safe, accurate wide-open-throttle tuning.

If your vehicle does not already have this equipment installed, Underground Autosports offers a proven wideband package that provides the data needed to complete your tune safely and reliably.

Installation requires welding the included oxygen-sensor bung into the exhaust system before the catalytic converters. Customers who are comfortable performing the installation may do so themselves, or the installation can be completed by a qualified local shop.

Most Ford and Hellcat vehicles already provide the necessary wideband data through their factory sensors, so an additional wideband package is generally optional. However, an aftermarket wideband can still be useful for monitoring, diagnostics, and future modifications.

Calibrations are built for 93-octane fuel unless you tell us otherwise.

Availability depends on your vehicle, modifications, fuel system, and intended use. Please contact Underground Autosports to discuss your requirements before adding an alternate calibration.

With an RTD device and compatible smartphone, you can conveniently switch between available tunes. Tune changes must only be performed while the vehicle is safely parked with the engine off.

Before You Order
Don’t see your vehicle? Additional applications are continually being added and may already be available. Contact us to confirm compatibility.
Engine or transmission swap? Swapped vehicles require additional information and must be reviewed before tuning.
Shipping: In-stock products generally ship the next business day from our Chicagoland location. Tracking information will be provided when available.
Build Sheet: After purchase, you will receive a Vehicle Build Sheet by email. It must be completed and returned before tuning can begin.
Setup Instructions: We will email instructional videos covering device setup and any required ECU removal, preparation, or shipping.
Vehicle Condition: Your vehicle must be mechanically sound, electrically sound, and current on all required maintenance before tuning. A calibration cannot repair existing mechanical or electrical problems.
Responsible Tuning: We calibrate within the safe operating limits of your vehicle’s components, modifications, fuel system, and available data. We do not perform “glory runs” or push a setup beyond what it can safely support.
Emissions Compliance: All street-use calibrations must retain legally applicable emissions-control systems. Requests involving purpose-built competition vehicles will be reviewed individually and must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Supporting documentation and a signed competition-use acknowledgment may be required.
Customer Responsibility: The customer is responsible for operating the vehicle safely and legally. Performance tuning does not protect against mechanical failure, towing expenses, traffic citations, or damage caused by misuse, pre-existing conditions, improper installation, or operation outside the vehicle’s safe limits.
